Who we are
Robin Keyte – Co-founder
Robin is a Chartered Financial Planner, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER CM certificant and has been awarded ISO 22222 for Personal Financial Planning.
He sits on the board of a firm of Chartered Financial Planners in Somerset, which he joined in 1996 after completing a PhD in chemistry.
Robin has an interest in green and ethical investment and sits on the board of the UK Social Investment Forum and is currently Chair of the Ethical Investment Association.
Whilst participating in a Financial Services Skills Council working group, Robin was involved in drafting the National Occupational Standard for Generic Financial Advice, and it was during this work that he began to develop ideas about money coaching with Pat Watson.
Pat Watson – Co-founder
Pat has been an executive coach, facilitator and consultant since October 2002, and has trained with SIMA (UK) Ltd, Coverdale, Gestalt in Organisations and Ashridge, where she is currently in her final year of a Masters Degree in Executive Coaching.
Pat has worked with people in a wide variety of sectors…
She works at senior levels, up to and including Chief Executive and Executive Chairman. It is her belief that people have the internal resources they need in order to achieve what they want to achieve, and the capacity to know how to draw on those resources and develop them so that they can fulfil their potential. The purpose of her work as an executive coach is to enable them to do this.
Pat is also a qualified solicitor, though no longer practises, and worked in the City of London for 25 years. She was a Partner specialising in international banking, securities and derivatives at Norton Rose and was latterly Director of Professional Services at Denton Wilde Sapte.
Pat is deeply committed to finding effective ways of putting fairness at the heart of financial services and has worked with the FSA and the Financial Services Skills Council in relation to their ethical agenda.
Aidan Ward – Co-founder
Aidan Ward is a financial coach and researcher in responsible financial service provision. He works with individuals and communities, building their ability to develop and use financial services to enhance their lives.
Aidan is a Chartered Engineer and has worked as a software architect and business consultant…
He runs a risk management consultancy that has advised some of Britain’s top companies in many different sectors on risks to their business. He is the author with John Smith of Trust and Mistrust: Radical strategies for business relationships. All Aidan’s work is focused on enabling people to make their best contribution.
Aidan’s research through the University of Salford is developing ways for people to become active, independent customers for financial services. He sees the way people use money and the way they engage with financial service providers as the key place people can lose or regain control of their lives.
